The primary objective of AI-MED SPIDER© /PDD is to facilitate the secure and compliant export / importation and management of anonymized patient data from various sources. This platform guarantees the privacy and anonymity of individual patient data, while enabling consistent and precise data aggregation across diverse databases.

According to the requirement for the removal of singularities, to qualify a data processing operation as anonymization and thus exempted from the strict regulations of the GDPR, the data will be processed in such a way that it is no longer possible to isolate or identify a single individual within the dataset. This means it should be impossible to trace the identity of a specific person, even using advanced correlation techniques or additional information.

How it works
  • Unique Identifier Creation. Each patient gets a unique, consistent identifier across all sites and databases for easy data integration.
  • Security and Privacy. The identifier is non-reversible, meaning it can’t be traced back to the original patient data, with cryptographic protection in place.
  • Tokenization. A secure, consistent token is used to ensure the same identifier for each patient regardless of his journey.
  • Hashing. Patient identifiers are combined with the token and processed through a secure hash (like SHA-256) to create the pseudo-identifier.
  • Storage. The pseudo-identifier is stored with the patient’s data and used to aggregate data across different locations.
  • Non-Reversibility. Strong cryptography ensures the identifier can’t be reverse engineered, with extra security through secure token management.
  • Additional Security. Extra measures like isolated environments, strict access control, and continuous monitoring ensure data security and privacy.
